Well here we are, just days away from the shortest day of the year.
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but the weather is playing havoc with my training. And this is after the "Claytons" summer we had to endure.
This weather might be alright if your sailing in Bermuda, but I'm thinking we could all do with a bit of respite from the current wind and rain, not to mention the constant bike cleaning.
Alternatively, I could harden up I suppose, but quite frankly don’t we all prefer to ride in decent weather?
Now, if you are struggling for some inspiration, think about Richie Porte’s efforts in the last stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné, It was an epic ride to finish second overall. But showed what guts he has and what you can do if you don’t give up. Let's see if he can keep up the form throughout the TDF next month.
Speaking of which, also check out the new page I have added "From the Brink" it also has a link to Keagan Girdlestone’s website. If you don’t know his amazing story, then I advise you to check it out
Anyway I have added a few articles that may help with these testing times and when you think about it, these hard yards are what makes the difference come warmer times when the events season kicks off.
Now for some great news!
ABC would like to welcome our brand new sponsor to the fold, MSC Consulting Group.
MSC was established in 1984 and is an independent, locally-owned New Zealand consulting structural and civil engineering practice with offices in Auckland and Christchurch.
Welcome to the team guys. The logo is going to look great on the new kit.
And yes, with a new sponsor it also means that there is a new kit on the way. We have almost finalised the design and this years version should really stand out in the bunch. I'll send out an image when we have sign off.
Oh and if you don’t know what “Claytons” means, ask your parents.
